Van She Tech

Artist Website / MySpace
Van She Tech are a relevant DJ and production duo comprised of 50% of the post-romantics Van She (a band).
Simultaneously handsome and talented, they're an enduring pair who have been on the map and making sense of it for quite a while now, riding waves of pulsating brilliance through the eternal wasteland that is sold out club show after sold out club show. Operating on a mantra of "less horse, more pummel" their thing is really giving it to voracious crowds in a manner combining impeccable selection, deft technique and flashes of mindless club ridiculousness, there is a reason their presence and subsequent DJ sets are in high demand around the corner and over the water. Van She Tech are, at all times, ready to jack.
Over the years they have defined and redefined moments of the dancescape with an array of standout remixes, spanning opinions and making differences. Ranging from the time they cracked the UK Pop Chart Top Ten with their globally loved remix of Utah Saints' "Something Good", their 3-second NYC punk take on The Presets' "Are You the One?", the re-heightened bliss of what they did for Feist's "1, 2, 3, 4", their essentially timeless hip-house take on Iamfinn's "I Love You" or the crucial zap-ups they made out of Tiga's "You Gonna Want Me" and Klaxons' "Gravity's Rainbow", the pair are more than capable of taking things where they need to be taken and beyond and back to the middle and around again.
More recently they remixed their band Van She's debut album V into the sleeker and higher techno-rated Ze Vemixes - a recontextualisation the likes of which that album had never seen before. Where once were curves, gradients and parabolas, VST have re-shaped the album into nothing but corners, points and vertices. This entire exercise is an exemplary slice of Van She Tech's knack for combining catchy/quality songwriting with big drums and thick synths.
Sliding through life with one eye on the future and a fistful of analogue filter units, Van She Tech are as present in the breeze as they are in your face. Keep believing in them.
NB: Van She Tech are not two girls called Charlotte de Sabasti and Aimee Loraunte.
